Coaching Terms & Conditions

1. Coaching Relationship.

Coaching is a collaborative, supportive relationship that empowers the Client to move toward emotional recovery, self-advocacy, and alignment. Coaching is not therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment. The Coach does not replace licensed mental health professionals or clinicians.

2. Scope of Services

Bethsaida Hingston provides:

- Emotional recovery and transformation coaching

- AAC coaching for families and caregivers of individuals with disabilities

- Caregiver support and advocacy guidance  

These services are educational, support-based, and focused on empowerment. They are not a substitute for professional therapy, clinical diagnosis, or crisis intervention.

3. Confidentiality

All personal information shared in coaching sessions is kept confidential, with the following exceptions:

- Legal obligations (e.g., risk of harm to self/others, child protection concerns)

- Written permission by the Client

- Relevant collaborative agreements (e.g., NDIS or family team meetings with consent)

4. Client Responsibility

The Client agrees to:

- Participate actively and honestly in the coaching process

- Take responsibility for their decisions, actions, and emotional healing journey

- Communicate respectfully with the Coach and/or group participants

- Reach out for additional professional support when needed

5. Coach Responsibility

Bethsaida commits to:

- Providing a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space

- Holding sessions with compassion, clarity, and ethical integrity

- Honoring client confidentiality and emotional boundaries

- Offering guidance using lived experience, professional tools, and structured frameworks

6. Sessions & Scheduling

- Sessions may be online (Zoom), phone-based, or in-person by prior agreement

- Duration: Typically 60 minutes unless otherwise stated

- Rescheduling requires a minimum of (24 hours’)notice

- Missed sessions without notice may be forfeited without refund

7. Payment & Fees

- Payment is due prior to the first session or via an agreed payment plan

- Accepted methods: Bank transfer, PayPal, NDIS billing (self/plan-managed)

- Late payments may result in service delays or cancellations

8. Cancellation & Refunds

- Cancellations with 24+ hours’ notice will be rescheduled

- Less than 24 hours’ notice may result in forfeiting the session

- Refunds are only provided in exceptional circumstances, at the Coach’s discretion

9. NDIS Coaching Services

For NDIS participants:

- Clients must have appropriate funding in "Capacity Building" or "Innovative Community Participation"

- Coaching supports communication, advocacy, and emotional safety for individuals with intellectual disabilities

- Invoices will be provided in line with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements

10. AAC Coaching (Alternative Communication)

AAC coaching supports:

- Families of nonverbal/minimally verbal individuals

- Communication tools, emotional responsiveness, and structured planning

- Transfers and support coordination under family/caregiver supervision  

AAC coaching is not speech therapy, but a guidance-based service supporting daily communication and advocacy

11. Intellectual Property

All materials shared by the Coach including quotes, frameworks (e.g., Phoenix Alignment Model), workbooks, and course content are the intellectual property of "Bethsaida Hingston". No reproduction, commercial use, or distribution is permitted without written consent.

12. Technology Clause

The Coach is not responsible for technical difficulties experienced by the Client. In the case of disruption, sessions may be rescheduled by mutual agreement.

13. Recording and Media (Optional Clause)

Private coaching sessions will not be recorded. Group sessions or workshops may be recorded with full transparency and prior client consent. Clients may opt out of being recorded.

14. Results Disclaimer

Coaching outcomes vary based on each Client’s readiness, participation, and commitment. While breakthroughs and healing are possible, no specific result is guaranteed. The Coach does not make promises regarding specific emotional outcomes.

15. Code of Conduct

All Clients agree to:

- Engage respectfully and maintain confidentiality (in group settings)

- Avoid disruptive or harmful behaviours

- Approach this process with openness and a willingness to grow

16. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time. Unused sessions may be refunded or credited at the Coach’s discretion, except where the Client has breached the Code of Conduct.

17. Agreement

By proceeding with services, the Client acknowledges they have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. A signed Coaching Agreement may be provided for official acknowledgment.
